Custom Fields
Note: You need to be an account owner to configure custom fields
Every Organisation has different data they would like to store. We've given you an easy to to configure the standard data you would like to see associated with a contract.
Adding new fields
Expand the Admin menu and click on Contract Profiles
Click on the template Default Profile
By default, 3 fields are created in a brand new account. Start Date, End Date and Value
Click the New Field button. You'll now be presented with a window where you can select the field type and name.
Supported Field Types
Type | Description |
Text | Allows users to type in free text |
Checkbox | An on / off toggle |
List | You can pre-populate a list of data that users can select from. Enter the choices and separate them with a comma When a user edits a contract they will then be presented with a dropdown |
Date | A date type will present a date selector to the user |
Amount | If you select the Amount type, this will present the user with a formatted amount box The currency used is the currency setting on the account |
Contract Link | This allows you to create a link to another Contract. Here is an example of setting up a Parent field Then, in the Contact, you can select and link to the Contract you like. Type in the "Search for your contract..." box to pick Once we select the contract link, a link is now installed at the top of the page. One link goes from the contract we've selected to the contract we've picked for easy navigation See here for an example |
